SARAH DESSUREAULT

HBSc, MScPT
Registered Physiotherapist
Orthopaedic Physiotherapist
Member of OPA, CPA
Sarah is passionate about helping people move with confidence and return to the activities they love. She believes that successful rehabilitation begins with building strong relationships with her patients and creating a welcoming environment where they feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their recovery.
Sarah has gained clinical experience across a variety of settings, including private orthopaedic practice, neurological rehabilitation, oncology, pediatrics, intensive care, and inpatient rehabilitation. These experiences have shaped her holistic, patient-centred approach to physiotherapy and reinforced the importance of treating the whole person, not just the injury.
Sarah has a particular interest in orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions. Her treatment approach combines hands-on therapy, individualized exercise programs, education, and functional goal setting. She enjoys working with people of all ages and activity levels, helping them build strength, restore function, and develop the confidence to stay active long after their treatment ends.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science from Mount Allison University and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. She is committed to ongoing professional development and providing thoughtful, evidence-informed care.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Sarah brings her East Coast friendliness and love of conversation to the clinic. She enjoys getting to know her patients and building meaningful connections along the way.
Physiotherapy aside,
Sarah loves:
Spending time with family and friends, staying active through running (with hopes of signing up for a race soon!), exploring Toronto's restaurant scene, and finding any excuse to be near the water. She was a competitive swimmer for 15 years!
Fun Fact!
Sarah is one of four siblings, and all four swam competitively and attended the same university!
