Is physiotherapy treatment for me?
If you feel as though you are limited in performing or taking part in the meaningful physical activities you wish to engage in or want to elevate your performance and abilities, physiotherapy is for you. We want to get you back into doing the things you love and what makes you happy. We want to know what your goals are and work together to create a personalized plan to get you back to where you want to be. What should I expect from my first appointment?
At the beginning of our 1-1 session I will take a detailed history on the issue that has brought you in for treatment. This involves attentively listening to gain an understanding of all the factors impacting your health, whether they are mechanical, neurological or psychosocial. The history will inform a physical assessment to diagnose your health concern and together, we create a personalized treatment plan that takes into account your specific needs, your daily life and helps you to reach your goals moving forward.

How should I prepare ahead of my first appointment?
Ahead of your first appointment you should complete your Patient Intake Form and fill out all relevant and required fields, this includes providing any necessary imaging or notes from your doctor. Please wear clothing that is suitable and comfortable for you to wear. Areas that are to be examined with consent should be available for your physiotherapist to access.
Do you have any company policies?
Yes we do have company policies that are in full effect and apply to all patients, these can be found on the Terms & Policies page and are also outlined below. Please be sure that you understand these policies prior to booking.
1. Cancellation Policy: Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be automatically charged a cancellation fee of the cost of the appointment.
2. Initial Assessment Policy:
Initial assessments require full payment at the time of booking. Cancellations more than 24 hours prior to your appointment will remain as a credit to your account that can be used on a later date. For cancellations within 24 hrs, the above cancellation policy will apply.
This policy is in place to respect the ability for our current patients to be able to book follow-up appointments for their care in the clinic schedule and prevents a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another patient.
3. Privacy Policy: We are committed to protecting your privacy by following guidelines set out by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the Province of Ontario. All your health information is kept secure and documents are released only with your written consent.
Do you do direct billing to insurance companies?
We do not do direct billing to insurance companies. Payments are made directly to patients through their securely and privately stored credit card on our practice management software called Jane. After being billed at the end of our session, you will automatically receive a receipt of payment, which then can be used to make an insurance claim to your provider.
Are my treatments covered by OHIP?
We do not accept OHIP as we are a private practice clinic. A list of OHIP funded clinics can be found on the Ontario Ministry of Health Website and eligibility for government funded physiotherapy treatment can be found on the Ontario Government Website.
Do you offer Acupuncture/Dry Needling as a part of your treatment? Does it cost more?
Yes. Our therapists are trained in dry needling acupuncture as an adjunct to their treatment plans as suited to the needs of the patient. Acupunture is not an extra cost - all treatment and assessment techniques used during a session are included in the cost of the session.

Do I need a Doctor's referral for treatment?
You do not need a Doctor’s referral in order to be assessed or treated by a physiotherapist. Physiotherapists are diagnostic primary healthcare providers. Some insurance providers do require a Doctor’s referral for reimbursement of the cost of treatment. To make sure if this is the case for you we recommend you contact your insurance providers!
Do you accept Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) or Motor Vehicle Accident Claims (MVA)?
No, we do not accept WSIB or MVA claims at this time.
How do I book an appointment?
To book an appointment, you can do so via Jane. This is our scheduling system which shows my full availability. Please know that although my schedule can become quite full, My recommendation would be to book the earliest appointment that works for you and then also add yourself to the waitlist as the schedule does often turn over and this is what I use as a reference on who to contact if a slot opens up earlier than your scheduled appointment.
If you would like to refer to the step-by-step that we have outlined on the “Book an Appointment” section of the “Contact Us” page. Or you refer to the step-by-step from the creators of our online booking system click here!
If we have not connected before, please book an initial assessment to allocate enough time for us to thoroughly discuss and assess what you would like to work on in regards to your health.
How do I get to my appointment & where can I park?
You can find us at 364 Pacific Avenue, Toronto ON M6P 2R1. Parking is available at the Green P just a few steps north on the east side of Pacific Ave & there is residential parking all throughout the neighbourhood.
