Is physiotherapy treatment for me?

If you feel as though you are limited in performing or taking part in the meaningful physical activities you wish to engage in or want to elevate your performance and abilities, physiotherapy is for you.  Whether caused by a life event, pain or stiffness in any area of the body, tissue injury, weakness, deconditioning or a contributing medical diagnosis, we can work together to address these issues.

We want to get you back into doing the things you love and what makes you happy. We want to know what your goals are and work together to create a personalized plan to get you back to where you want to be. What should I expect from my first appointment?

At the beginning of our 1-1 session I will take a detailed history on the issue that has brought you in for treatment. This involves attentively listening to gain an understanding of all the factors impacting your health, whether they are mechanical, neurological or psychosocial. The history will inform a physical  assessment to diagnose your health concern and together, we create a personalized treatment plan that takes into account your specific needs, your daily life and helps you to reach your goals moving forward.

Ahead of your first appointment you should complete your Patient Intake Form and fill out all relevant and required fields, this includes providing any necessary imaging or notes from your doctor. We do not do direct billing to insurance companies. Payments are made directly to patients through their securely and privately stored credit card on our practice management software called Jane. You do not need a Doctor’s referral in order to be assessed or treated by a physiotherapist. Physiotherapists are diagnostic primary healthcare providers.
